2018-004B-Port Said, Egypt-GPS Interference
On April 6, 2018, GPS interference was reported in the vicinity of Port Said, Egypt, in position 31-27N, 032-18E. Separate instances of interference were identified in U.S. Maritime Alert 2018-004A. The current maritime incident has been confirmed. The interference is resulting in jammed, lost or otherwise altered GPS signals affecting bridge navigation and other communication equipment. Exercise caution when transiting this area. Further updates will be provided when available. This alert will automatically expire on April 16, 2018.
