Two near-simultaneous maritime attacks have been reported in the Gulf of Oman in the vicinity of 25-27N 057-22E on June 13, 2019 against two vessels on an outbound transit of the Strait of Hormuz. These attacks have been confirmed and involve damage to both vessels.  The precise means of attack is currently unknown.  Exercise caution when transiting this area.  Vessels operating in this area are advised to review U.S. Maritime Advisory 2019-006 (Threats to U.S. Interests from Iran – Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, Gulf of Oman, Arabian Sea, Gulf of Aden, Bab-el-Mandeb, and Red Sea).
