The U.S. Maritime Administration’s Maritime Technical Assistance (MTA) program provided the funding for the following study to understand how LH2 tanks could be optimized for maritime use, and how that tank optimization could benefit the design, performance and cost of hydrogen fuel cell ships. It was accomplished under the guidance of Sandia National Laboratories, with assistance from Chart Industries and Glosten Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Services.”
